A lot of sports injuries can stem from athletes jumping into lifting weights or practicing specific skills for their sport or activity without having a solid understanding of foundational movements. 🌿
When we say foundational movements, we mean the ones that underlie common exercises at the gym or even sport specific movements. We take for granted, shooting a basketball, hitting a hockey puck or even just sprinting and jumping and just assume that if we do what we see then it’ll be perfect. That’s just not the case.
