Next week, we’re excited to host a special conversation with Antonio King, Chicago’s Director of LGBTQ+ Affairs! Antonio will be speaking with us to better understand our experiences and explore how the mayor’s office can better support our community's needs.

For YEER participants: attending this event will count toward your mentorship requirement.

Come ready to be heard and advocate for change!

Today marks TEN YEARS of TaskForce’s free clothing closet! It all started for one simple reason: our community needed it. Youth were walking through our doors without access to essential clothing, so we decided to step up! Today, the closet is still going strong; 1 in 4 people who visit TaskForce use it, and it’s sustained daily by the generosity of our community. 💜

TaskForce’s Spring Break was an extravaganza! We hosted a week of programming designed to help youth with their professional and personal development, and 70+ young people showed up! Through program completion incentives, we invested $22,000 into our youth, breaking down stigma and building future allies to our community. Thank you to the parents, youth, and community members who trusted us to create such an empowering and educational Spring Break experience.

From building community programs to leading clinical access, Allante “Nala” Body— now our Health Care Access Manager—takes us through a day in her life at TaskForce. In her role, she ensures that people get the care they need, when they need it. But her story doesn’t start there — it goes back to 2008, helping launch what would become Vogue School and creating space for our community to thrive. This is what it means to grow with the work and stay rooted in it!
