A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteer Hannan (aka our favorite Elf!) 🧝‍♀️💚 for spreading so much joy and laughter to our littlest patients. From festive cheer to heart-warming smiles, Hannan truly helped brighten their day and made the season feel extra special.

Welcome our newest addition to the Volunteer Services Team, Katie! 💙✨

Katie has been a dedicated volunteer with us for the past three years, and we are thrilled to share that she has now transitioned into the role of Volunteer Services Office Support Associate at UI Health!

Her journey is a wonderful example of the power of volunteering as a pathway to employment. Katie now joins the nearly 400 volunteers who have successfully transitioned from volunteer to UI Health employee, a milestone we are incredibly proud of! 💯

UI Health celebrated its 30th annual Miracle on Taylor Street Holiday Gift Drive today! 🎁✨
Our incredible employees came together once again to sponsor gifts for individuals and families served by our partner community organizations. We are so proud and grateful for the generosity of our UI Health team!

Big shoutout to all of our amazing volunteers who helped make our biggest event of the year run flawlessly and we couldn’t do it without you! 💙

This year’s drive supported:
• Chinese American Service League (CASL) – education, senior wellness, immigrant support, housing, workforce development, and community equity.
• Missionaries of Charity – daily meals, shelter, maternity support, and youth programs.
• Mujeres Latinas en Acción – bilingual domestic violence services, crisis support, counseling, and leadership programs.
• Neopolitan Lighthouse – safety, counseling, and resources for women and children facing abuse.
• New Hope Apartments – transitional housing, life-skills training, daycare resources, and family support.
• Teresa’s (Deborah’s Place) – housing, healthcare access, job skills, and support for women experiencing chronic homelessness.

Thank you to every UI Health employee and volunteer who helped make the season brighter for our community! 💙🎄
