Update: We are 10days away and space is limited! Register today!
In celebration of National Black Maternal Health Week and this year’s powerful theme, “Rooted in Justice & Joy,” the Chicago Westside Branch Naacp Health Committee warmly invites Black mothers at every stage of motherhood to gather for an evening of rest, restoration, and collective healing.
Motherhood is sacred—and it can also be heavy. This healing circle creates space to gently address childbirth trauma, postpartum mental health, motherhood supports, and more, all within a nurturing community that understands. Come as you are to rest, connect, be held, and leave renewed.
✨ Sacred Rest: A Healing Circle for Black Mothers ✨
📅 April 16, 2026
🕕 6:00 PM
📍 Columbus Park Refectory - 5701 W. Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL
This intimate gathering will be co-facilitated by two dynamic clinicians from Meek Wellness and the Cent(HER)ed Collective. Together, they will guide participants through moments of reflection and connection, traditional healing practices, and meaningful dialogue—while also creating opportunities to build community, strengthen support systems, and advocate for change in the maternal and child health landscape.
While some discussions may center postpartum experiences, ALL mothers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
🍽️ Dinner will be served, and space is limited—registration is required.
