MuPhSA's mission is to create a community for all UIC pharmacy students and to advance the professio

MuPhSA aims to help develop their members and the community at large through education, charitable fundraising, professional development events and community service projects. Some of the work MuPhSA does includes raising money for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, hosting lectures to help explain the purpose of fasting in Ramadan, participating in health fairs, working with Islamic Relief to perform blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, and attending and organizing professional development events and socials.

Thanksgiving is ALWAYS better with friends, so join us for our Friendsgiving Dinner Social at Kabobi grill. This is a great opportunity to strengthen friendships and get to know each other. Hey everyone,

Hope you all had a great summer! As we're coming close to the semester we just wanted to make a quick announcement. In collaboration with MSLS x SnPHA (Student National Pharmaceutical Association) we hosted our first ever infographic competition past May.

An infographic is a visual tool that provides an easier and holistic overview of a certain topic. It consists of images, diagrams, illustrations and minimal text to drive a point. Every year a new topic will be chosen, and this year's judges were Dr. Groo, Dr. Wilken and Dr. Hellenbart. Winner get's a $40 gift card.

This year's theme was To***co session and this year's winner is *drumroll pls* ---- Elna Shibu 🥳.

Attached along is her piece of work, we're delighted this will be used as a valuable visual resource to educate patients.

Excited to announce that MuPhSA x SNPHA are collaborating to host UIC COP's first Infographic competition!!!!!

MuPhSA, SNPhA, HLPSA, and BPSA are teaming up to help serve an underserved patient population! We are raising funds to make winter care packages for patients of the UIC Community Outreach Needle Exchange Program. The goal of this program is to reduce transmission of HIV and hepatitis C, which is done by providing IV drug users with clean needles, overdose prevention counseling, and information regarding rehab services. Many of these patients are homeless or living in poor housing conditions and are extremely in need of warm gear for the upcoming harsh Chicago winter. Our organizations will be creating care packages containing warm socks, gloves, scarves, hats, shirts, and other necessities. But we really need your help to raise the funds needed for this initiative! Please consider donating, any amount is highly appreciated!
