We were honored to be able to celebrate our NICU Moms this last weekend with a footprint craft and fresh flowers. Having a baby in the NICU is a difficult time, and we were happy to provide our Moms with an opportunity to honor all of the hard work they do.

Santa and his elves came down from the North Pole to the NICU & the Children’s Hospital University of Illinois this week to bring presents and holiday cheer to our NICU babies, pediatrics patients and their families. A special thank you to everyone who donated gifts and contributed their time to make this day so special! Your efforts helped the babies and their families enjoy some holiday cheer while in the hospital. Happy holidays from all of us here in the NICU and the Children’s Hospital University of Illinois!🎄✨

HAPPY HALLOWEEN from all the little monsters in our Inpatient Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Units! It is our favorite time of year- time for our annual costume contest! Please “like” the picture to vote for your favorite costume (or costumes, there is no limit on how many you can vote for). Voting will be open until 12 pm Monday 11/4 and winners will be announced shortly after. The top 3 winners will be awarded Target gift cards (1st place- $30, 2nd place- $20, and 3rd place- $10) donated by Team Nicholas! All the costumes are winners in our eyes 😊

The NICU Read - a - thon was held on September 19, 2024 to highlight the importance of reading and support families and babies with ways of connecting through reading.

Earlier this month, we received an awesome donation of 110 lego kits from (tag the organization - Bricks of Hope). We are so grateful to be able to bring kids and teens of all ages fun projects to work on during their hospital visits.
