🌟 Mark your Calendars for a Live Webinar on Venous Ulcers! 🌟

We often state that venous ulcers are the most common wound type in wound centers in the USA. We tend to aggregate data under the heading of a VLU when determining healing rates, healing trajectories, and recidivism.

But are the patients in this combined group really the same? Do we need to have venous reflux to have venous disease? Are there groups of patients that fall into different venous categories based on venous hemodynamics?

If the answer to any of the prior questions reveals there are subgroups of venous patients, then why should we expect a single therapeutic approach would work for all of them?

These provocative questions and more will be explored in our FREE live webinar on October 15, 2024, at 5:30 pm CST! 🕠

We’ll dive into:
🔍 The complexities of venous ulcers
🔍 Whether a single therapeutic approach works for all
🔍 How venous disease might be more diverse than we think

Come with an open mind and your questions!

It has been stated that it takes 17 years for 14% of published evidence to translate into clinical practice. Why?

At the 2023 American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair Conference, we reviewed the existing evidence and listened to practicing providers describe how they operationalize those recommendations in their hospital settings. The conference featured a streamed live surgery with vascular surgeons, panel discussions on venous, arterial, atypical, and pressure wound workup and treatment, and three amazing keynote presentations on nutrition and metabolism from Dr. William Li, wound care economics from Dr. Marissa Carter, and social determinants of health from Dr. Chandan K. Sen.

The live meeting will be followed by a series of virtual educational offerings from ACWHTR such as on-demand lectures and podcasts throughout the year that will allow for year-round learning. Please reach out to us with any feedback you have from the meeting. Thank you to all the speakers, attendees, and staff that made the event possible, and we look forward to seeing you in 2024.
