The annual North Lawndale Racial Justice Ride, hosted by Equiticity, will take place on the Dr. King holiday. Ride Illinois is pleased to assist with planning and spreading the word about this meaningful event ☮️

Please join us for our annual Dr. King Legacy ride on January 19th 2026. We will be partnering this year with The Firehouse Community Arts Center located at 2111 S Hamlin where we will start and end the bike ride this year. We will begin meeting up for the ride at 11:30am and begin the ride promptly at noon. We will be returning to Firehouse at 1pm and they will be having an event at their facility honoring Dr. King’s legacy in the North Lawndale community. We ask you to join us in the ride before the event and stay after the ride for the event in Dr. King’s honor. We hope to see you there!

🚨🚨 We’re back with a brand-new top-of-the-year challenge!

Last year, we crushed the StairMaster challenge, with each participant reaching 2,200 flights by the end of January. This year, we’re switching it up with a miles challenge.

It starts at 25 miles, and each week it increases by 25 miles. Walk, run, bike, or use the elliptical, get your miles however you can.

Once you’re done, post it to your story for a repost and timestamp confirmation. Challenge starts January 5th

Join us at Green Tomato Cafe for a Community Christmas Eve Dinner on December 24th from 1-4pm. We will be serving free food, and each child will receive a complimentary toy.

Toy donations will be accepted from December 1st to December 23rd at both Green Tomato Cafe and the Lawndale Christian Fitness Center. As a thank you, those who donate a toy will receive a free one-month membership to the Lawndale Christian Fitness Center or a $10 coupon for your next visit to Green Tomato Cafe.
