Today marks the feast of Corpus Christi, a festival of the Roman Catholic Church, honoring the real presence of the body of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. We extend our gratitude to The Knights of Columbus for gifting us the new Corpus of Christ for the cross outside in the grotto. It is breathtaking!

Although we are a day early we always celebrate the USA! Flag Day, celebrated annually on June 14th, is a day to honor the American flag and commemorate its adoption by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. Flag Day is a time for patriotic observances, such as displaying the flag!

Our resident Bob Dwyer made the decision to return to college at the remarkable age of 90 years old to obtain his degree, which he began 70 years ago. He was Northeastern Illinois University’s oldest student to earn his degree, demonstrating that it is never too late.
