In addition to owning, operating, and teaching at Eb & flow Yoga Studio, I work full time as researcher and consultant supporting local, state and federal agencies and organizations with early childhood education and child care issues. How do I do two full-time jobs? How do remain calm, and give others a sense of ease, with all the things I have to do? Mindfulness. I simply practice focusing mindfully on what is needed in a moment. Lessons I received by practicing yoga.

Thich Nhat Hanh writes in his book, “The Miracle of Mindfulness” that too often we think that as active, busy, focused people trying to resolve a million difficulties and multi-task to handle all the situations thrown art us, that we can not practice mindfulness. He wrote, “During the moment one is consulting, resolving, and dealing with whatever arises, a calm heart and self-control are necessary if one is to obtain good results…Mindfulness is the miracle by which we master and restore ourselves.” And that miracle is available in every breath we take. “It makes it possible to live fully each minute of life.”
