An individual associated with the school was confirmed to have active TB. The Lake County Health Department is overseeing the response.

🦠 What is Tuberculosis?
TB is an airborne infectious disease that primarily affects the lungs but can impact other parts of the body. It spreads when an infected person coughs or sneezes, releasing bacteria into the air.

❗ Common Symptoms of TB:
💨 Persistent cough lasting 3+ weeks
💥 Chest pain
🩸 Coughing up blood
😴 Fatigue
⚖️ Unintended weight loss
🌡️ Fever and night sweats

☀️ Don't Forget Your Vitamin D! ☀️
Vitamin D is essential for strong bones, a healthy immune system, and overall well-being. While we are waiting for the SUN to come out and the weather to warm up...there are other great alternatives to getting a healthy source of Vitamin D.

While the best source is sunlight, you can also get it from foods like salmon, eggs, and fortified dairy products—or consider a supplement if needed.

Make sure to soak up some sun (safely!) or check your diet to keep your Vitamin D levels in check!
