Feeling under the weather? Colds, flu, and other viruses can spread quickly — especially this time of year.

For children with a cough, encourage plenty of fluids, rest, and use a humidifier to help ease irritation. If symptoms are lingering, worsening, or your child seems uncomfortable, don’t wait it out.

🦠 Norovirus: What You Should Know & How to Get Through It

Norovirus is a very contagious stomach virus that can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. While it can come on quickly, the good news is that most people recover within a few days with proper care.

Tips to stay healthy and recover:
✔️ Wash hands often with soap and water
✔️ Stay hydrated—small sips of fluids are key
✔️ Rest and allow your body time to heal
✔️ Clean and disinfect surfaces frequently
✔️ Avoid preparing food for others while sick

If symptoms are severe, last more than a few days, or you’re concerned about dehydration, especially for young children or older adults, don’t wait.

📞 If you’re not feeling well, call Saint Xavier Health Center to get checked out: 773.298.3712. We’re here to help you recover safely and stay healthy.
