🚨 Norovirus, also known as the "Winter Vomiting Disease" is spreading rapidly🚨

There has been an increase in norovirus cases across the Chicago area. Norovirus, often known as the “stomach bug”, spreads very easily and can cause sudden nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and fatigue.

🦠 How it spreads:
• Touching contaminated surfaces
• Close contact with someone who’s sick
• Eating food handled by someone infected

💡 How to protect yourself:
• Wash hands frequently with soap and water (hand sanitizer is less effective!)
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces
• Stay home if you’re sick
• Avoid preparing food for others while experiencing symptoms

🩺 When to seek help:
If symptoms are severe, persistent, or you’re concerned about dehydration, reach out to a healthcare provider.

If you're having these symptoms, come get checked out: 773.298.3712

❄️ Stay Warm & Stay Healthy This Winter! ❄️

As temperatures continue to drop, it’s important to take extra steps to keep yourself healthy and comfortable. Here are a few simple tips to help you stay well this season:

🧣 Layer Up: Dress in warm layers, including hats, gloves, and scarves to protect against the cold.
🥣 Eat Warm, Nourishing Foods: Soups, teas, and hearty meals help maintain body heat and boost your immune system.
💧 Stay Hydrated: Even in cold weather, drinking enough water is essential for overall health.
😴 Prioritize Rest: Quality sleep keeps your immune system strong and ready to fight off illness.
💨 Limit Exposure: Avoid being outdoors for long periods during extreme cold, and be cautious of wind chills.
