October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors aren’t always easy to spot, but learning the difference can save lives. Healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors aren’t always easy to spot, but learning the difference can save lives. Let’s talk about healthy vs. unhealthy relationships and break the stigma.

Do you know what The Line is? If not that’s okay, that’s what Line Awareness Week is all about!

The Line is Loyola’s confidential resource for anything gender-based violence related. Any member of the Loyola community can call 773-494-3810 and speak to a trained advocate, 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and 24 hours on the weekends.

It’s Line Awareness Week! The Line is answered by two full time staff members Monday through Friday and a team of eight incredible student volunteers on the weekends. All of our advocates have more than 40 hours of training. 

Remember, The Line is open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5pm and 24 hours on the weekends.

In honor of Line Awareness Week, our friends at the Line are hosting multiple events for students to learn who’s behind the phone when you call The Line.
On Tuesday 9/16 there’s coloring with The Line where The Line advocates will be relaxing with coloring supplies and free snacks. Stop buy, grab some goodies, color and ask The Line Advocates any questions you have.
On Thursday 9/18 The Wellness Center and The Office for Equity and compliance will host a panel including experts from around campus speaking on how Loyola prevents and responds to Gender-Based Violence.
Each of these events will include FREE FOOD and an interactive Q&A so come with questions! We hope to see you there!
