Nestled in a quiet Chicago neighborhood, The Danish Home, established in 1891 is a boutique continuing care retirement community that offers a secure, caring environment for its residents. ght to The Danish Home by residents of different heritages. You will enjoy lively outings, activities, and get-togethers in a close-knit setting. Comfortable rooms and suites are just steps away from tastefully decorated public spaces where you may host small private gatherings. Outside is a beautiful park-like garden, the site of many summer picnics and parties. Best of all, no matter how your circumstances might change, you can count on The Danish Home. Since our community is licensed for several levels of care, you know that once you have entered The Danish Home, you do not have to worry about the future! New residents and their families quickly get to know everyone else: residents, staff, and volunteers. At The Danish Home, there are no strangers-only friends you haven’t made yet!

Friends and family gathered Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the elegant Meridian Banquet Hall in Rolling Meadows for the Women’s Auxiliary of The Danish Home’s 66th Annual Benefit Spring Luncheon. We enjoyed a fine meal, outbid each other at the Silent Auction, bought chances for Lucky Buckets, and participated in trivia led by our Director of Resident Life, Robin Decker.

As a special addition to the luncheon, Danish Sisterhood Dagmar Lodge #4 Vice President Kimberly Hansen recognized our very own Residence Counselor Debi Lathom, who is retiring at the end of this month with a thoughtful gift. Kimberly and Secretary Jean Jackson also presented Women’s Auxiliary President Karen Nylen-Swidergal with her 50-Year Danish Sisterhood pin.

📢Reminder: Join Us for The Women’s Auxiliary 66th Annual Benefit Luncheon! 🌸✨🍽️

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Meridian Banquets in Rolling Meadows, IL, the Women’s Auxiliary of The Danish Home will be hosting the 66th Annual Benefit Luncheon.

The event will begin with cocktails at 11:30 a.m., followed by the luncheon at 12:00 p.m. for $65 per person. Enjoy a delicious meal with options like Norwegian Salmon, Chicken Marsala, or Veggie Lasagna, and be entertained by Trivia with Robin Decker. Prizes are included, check out one of our gift baskets down below! 👇
