Driven by our mission to educate, elevate, and empower,we spent the day at Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital, equipping 25 passionate staff members with lifesaving first aid skills, and they all passed.

It wasn’t just training. It was a step toward a safer, more prepared community.

Huge congratulations to Kate as she begins her journey as a first-year emergency medicine resident at Detroit Receiving Hospital, part of the Wayne State University program!

It’s a tough and intensive three-year program, but knowing Kate, her heart, her passion, and her drive, we know she’s going to thrive.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Kate. You carry the spirit of what it means to educate, elevate, and empower, and we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make in the world.

Go shine, you were made for this ✨️

We keep thinking back to our time in Samburu, where, thanks to the Sarara Foundation, we were introduced to a group of incredible women from the community.

We had the opportunity to teach basic first aid and maternal care before and after labor. With the nearest hospital hours away and traditional practices often being the only option, we knew how important it was to share practical, life-saving skills.

Sarara Foundation continues to do such beautiful work in this region, supporting communities through education, health, and conservation. We’re so grateful to be part of that impact.

As always, our mission to educate, elevate, and empower came to life in the most meaningful way. We hope we left these women more prepared, more confident, and more equipped to care for their families. And truthfully, they left us even more inspired.

At FICCS, we’re big on our mission to educate, elevate, and empower, and honestly, that’s what makes our training different.

We’re out here changing how people learn medicine. From ACLS skills like defibrillation, ECG interpretation, bradys and tachys, CPR, and managing acute coronary syndromes to First Aid and even POCUS, we make sure everyone walks away with skills they can actually use.

We take complex topics and break them down in a way that’s easy to understand. We make it hands-on, practical, and engaging because that’s how real learning happens.

Seeing how confident and capable our trainees become after each session is the best part. That’s the impact we want. That’s the change we’re making.

One training at a time, one life at a time. This is how we educate, elevate, and empower.

We're shinining a light on our tech queen and BLS trainer, Pauline

She’s been with FICCS for 3 years now, and honestly, we don’t know what we’d do without her. From managing our website to making sure every single presentation runs smoothly, Pauline is the quiet force that keeps us on track. You should see her in action, moving USBs and HDMI cables like a pro, jumping between laptops mid-session because, of course, every presenter has different slides.

But when she’s not saving the day with her tech skills, she’s out here teaching BLS and First Aid, with the same energy and heart. Apparently, her favorite part of every session is placing Caroline in the recovery position every single time 😂

Pauline, we see you, we value you, and we’re so grateful for all you do.You truly embody what it means to Educate, Elevate, and Empower.

Here’s to more life-saving, tech-saving, HDMI-saving moments with you.

Meet Maryanne, our vibrant, ever-smiling instructor, and our queen of airway!
She’s a nurse anesthetist working with Nairobi County, and honestly, we’re lucky to have her on the FICCS team.

If you didn’t know, nurse anesthetists are highly trained and pretty rare in Kenya, they play a huge role in patient safety during surgeries and emergencies, especially when it comes to managing airways and keeping people alive when every second counts.

Maryanne brings all that knowledge into our trainings, but in such a calm, happy, and relatable way. She teaches with so much passion and grace, and watching her in action is such a privilege.

Through her, our mission to Educate, Elevate, and Empower comes to life in the most inspiring way.

We’re proud of you, Maryanne. Thank you for the light you bring and the lives you help save.

When you walk into Hawkers Market Girls Center, you don’t just meet students. You meet strength, talent, resilience, hope, grit, and the will to thrive.

Through our partnership, we’ve trained these incredible young women in first aid and CPR. They’ve shown up with curiosity and courage, eager to learn how to save lives.

At HMGC, the girls learn skills like dressmaking, creating beautiful bags, and hairdressing. At Global FICCS, we support their journey by donating sanitary pads and food, helping meet their basic needs so they can focus on building a brighter future.

This is what our mission is all about:.To educate, elevate, and empower one girl at a time.

Because when a girl is given a chance, she doesn't just grow. She transforms the world around her.

During our training at Lions, Dennis, one of our incredible instructors, taught the team how to properly put on and remove gloves.

It might seem like a basic skill, but it’s one of the most important ways to stop the spread of infections. According to the WHO, almost 40% of healthcare-associated infections are preventable, and improper glove use is a major contributor.

That’s why at Global FICCS, we take the time to focus on the little things. We’re here to educate, elevate, and empower because protecting lives starts with the small steps.

A little late but full of love, happy belated birthday to Dr. Erin , our amazing medical director, mentor, and the brain behind so much of what we do at FICCS.

You’ve taught us, led us, and made us laugh (especially when tech fights back and wins). We honestly don’t know how you do it all, but we’re so lucky you do.

Here’s to more impact, more lives saved, and maybe… just maybe… getting a little better at tech this year.

We celebrate you today and always. If you manage to comment on this post, we’ll consider it a birthday miracle!

This week, we had the privilege of training young students from Hanka Educational Center in Mathare on CPR and first aid.

It’s hard to put into words how moving it was to see how curious, eager, and open-hearted these kids were. They asked thoughtful questions, practiced with so much care, and truly wanted to understand how to help someone in an emergency.

One of the students shared that they were able to help a classmate who had a nosebleed using what they learned from our training. Hearing that... it really hit home.

This is the heart of what we do. To educate, elevate, and empower and to remind young people that they matter, that they’re capable, and that they can save a life.

No human is limited, and these students proved that. We’re so proud of them.

We had such a great time training the Inspire Wellness team on first aid!

The session was hands-on, interactive, and full of energy. Their engagement and feedback were amazing.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. Our mission to educate, elevate, and empower comes to life every day through sessions like this.

We’re so proud of the Inspire Wellness team for showing up with such enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to learn how to save lives. Bravo, team!

Our Story

We are an organization devoted to fostering the development of education and healthcare services for underserved communities in East Africa.

We provide medical supplies and equipment, education, training and physician clinical services to Kenya. Dr. Patel and his team of doctors travel twice a year to Kenya to perform free surgeries and also provide medicine and supplies to local clinics and schools. Women and children are our priority as we work with AIDS orphans, young women's groups and disadvantaged populations.

Dr. Patel and FICCS has been performing cardiovascular surgeries, free of charge, and has donated over $2 million worth of medical supplies to hospitals in Kenya since 2003.
