The Center for Neurocognitive Outcomes Improvement Research (NOIR) in the University of Chicago Department of Neurology is currently running a memory study that pays $30 per hour via virtual Visa gift cards.

In this study, you would complete a visual object task that measures your memory performance while we track your eye movements and brain activity. 🧠👁️ The project uses functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and eye-tracking to study how memory processes work in the hippocampus. 📸 This research could eventually help people with memory loss related to epilepsy or dementia.

The experiment involves two days of participation for roughly 2.5 hours per day. We strongly prefer that you be able to complete both sessions within one week. Appointments are currently available Monday - Friday, between 8 am & 4 pm CT.

This study requires that you:
- Are 18 years old or older
- Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision
- Have not previously been diagnosed with any psychiatric or neurological condition, including, but not limited to, major depression, schizophrenia, ADHD, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder
- Have never had a stroke or suffered any severe head injury requiring neurosurgical procedures
- Are not currently taking any drugs or medications that affect cognition (i.e., medications given to treat psychiatric or neurological conditions or other drugs such as ma*****na, co***ne, L*D, etc.)

If you are eligible and interested, please email us at cnoir@uchicago.edu for more information.
