Join us on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, from 9:30am-12pm! During this 2.5-hour workshop held online, we'll focus on:

-The impact of menopause on bodies, minds, and relationships
-Research throughout history
-Challenging misinformation and considering treatment options
-Both self-care and community care

This workshop will be rooted in a feminist approach to menopause! We look forward to learning with you. Register at www.chicagowomenshealthcenter.org/menopause-workshop.

We are offering this workshop on a sliding scale from $40-$120. If you have any questions about the sliding scale and/or would like to discuss a payment plans, reach out to Scout Bratt, Outreach & Education Director at sb@chicagowomenshealthcenter.org. Join CWHC volunteer and s*x therapist Layla Tahmassebi (they/them) for a workshop on practicing consensual non-monogamy (CNM) for the first time! This workshop will be held virtually over Zoom on Tuesday, November 18th from 6:00-7:30pm CT.

Layla will tailor the workshop to registrants’ pre-submitted questions and can cover topics such as:
-Deciding if consensual non-monogamy (CNM) is for you/ your relationship
-Common benefits and challenges of CNM
-Types of CNM (open relationships, polyamory, solo polyamory, swinging, relationship anarchy)
-Advice on beginning to practice CNM

Join CWHC’s gender-affirming Voice Coach for a 6-part virtual group series on Tuesday evenings. This group series is designed to help participants develop a speaking voice that is healthy, confident, and better aligns with their identity.

Session dates: October 28th, November 4th, November 11th, November 18th, December 2nd, and December 9th

Typical topics that are included in the Aligning Voice with Identity series include:
-Vocal Confidence

Both levels are offered on a sliding scale of $240-$0 per person, or $40-0 per session. Participants are encouraged to pay where they can on the scale. Earlier this month, our Counseling Program started a 24-week BIPOC and Multiracial Process Group and the group is still accepting participants! Registration will remain open through January 15th. The BIPOC and Multiracial Process Group takes place on Thursdays from 6-7:30pm CT. This is 24-week therapy group offers a supportive space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and people who identify as multiracial to explore interpersonal patterns, practice communicating thoughts and feelings openly, and share and receive feedback.

This group is offered on a sliding scale of $60-15 per session, with no one turned away based on their ability to pay. Clients can bill insurance or use self pay. Chicago House and Social Service Agency

The Chicago House Community Health Apprenticeship Program (CHAP) is a hands-on training and certification program to help Black/Latinx, LGBTQ+ young people ages 18-34 start their careers as community health workers in the HIV field. In this six-week training, CHAP Apprentices learn the latest in industry practices to provide comprehensive s*xual health education to peers and community members, and receive Illinois Department of Public Health certification as HIV testers and counselors. Participants also meet with community leaders and experts in the field to build strong professional networks and participate in job readiness workshops with Chicago House Career Specialists.

Dr. Sunny Swift is a psychologist who is starting a monthly workshop series for q***r and trans people. The theme will differ by the month and the first one is about traveling as a q***r and/or trans person.

Are you or is someone you know interested in accessing affordable and comprehensive Trans Health services?

At CWHC, we use an informed-consent approach for all of our trans health services. Our care is provided with an emphasis on preventative care, self-care, and health education.

Our Trans Health services currently include:
-Gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT, HRT) start + continuation
-Gender-affirming voice coaching
-Letters of support for gender-affirming care/surgeries
-Injection tutorials
-Trans-inclusive gynecology services + STI screenings
-Trans-inclusive Medication Abortions
-HRT Group Clinics

Clients with insurance, without insurance, and using self-pay are all welcome.

Join CWHC’s gender-affirming Voice Coach for a 6-part virtual educational series on Tuesday evenings. Participants are welcome to join the Level 1 group or Level 2 group. Those who have already completed this series are invited to register again to refresh their skills or join our Level 2 group for a deeper dive into session topics.

CWHC provides Medication Abortion services. New and existing clients are welcome to schedule appointments, which include access to medication abortion pills as well as education, guidance, and resources.

As with all our services, Medication Abortion care at CWHC is trans-inclusive, trauma-informed, education-centered, and available regardless of your ability to pay.

Starting this week, CWHC's Counseling Program will be offering two new group counseling opportunities!

The TGNCNB Support & Skills Group will start on Wednesday, October 8th. This is a 12-week therapeutic group is designed for transgender, gender nonconforming/gender expansive, and nonbinary (TGNCNB) participants to explore shared experiences while learning and practicing supportive skills.

The BIPOC and Multiracial Process Group will start on Thursday, October 10th. This is a 24-week therapy group that offers a supportive space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and people who identify as multiracial to explore interpersonal patterns, practice communicating thoughts and feelings openly, and share and receive feedback.

Both groups are offered on a sliding scale of $60-15 per session, with no one turned away based on their ability to pay. Clients can bill insurance or use self pay. Both groups will be offered virtually.
