We are thrilled to introduce you to Becca Sita (she/her), CWHC’s new Development Coordinator. Becca has a background in production and program management, and we are so excited for the passion and systems development skills that she will contribute to our Development Team. To help introduce Becca to our communities, we asked her to answer the following questions about herself.

What drew you to work at CWHC?
"I had spent the bulk of my career on national campaigns, but living in Uptown, my dream was to find an opportunity at a local organization working to empower my fellow neighbors and community! From the vital mission to the collective structure, CWHC embodies everything I'd been looking for. I feel so lucky to be among people who are as committed to providing accessible reproductive care to women, trans folks and other q***r communities as they are to grounding every aspect of the work in open collaboration, self-determination and mutual respect."

Where do you look for feminist inspiration?
"I went to film school, so my earliest feminist influences are from ~cinema~! Namely, Cher in Moonstruck, Frenchy from Grease, Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service, and of course, Miss Piggy (in anything). My strongest influences though, are folks with intersectional perspectives who promote collective liberation. I'm currently reading and drawing infinite inspiration from Angela Davis’s autobiography, but science fiction is my new favorite genre for feminist lit."
