🙏 Thank you to .diaz28 for hosting us at Noble Street College Prep.

💪 Getting to provide a mobility workshop for athletes is always a pleasure, especially when they are motivated to learn.

Having an underlying imbalance that is unaddressed can lead to unnecessary injury.

Alot of injuries are preventable (ALC tears, MCL tears, meniscus related injuries of the knee, Achilles, Patellar & Hamstring Tendon tears or tendinopathies, ankle sprains, Rotator Cuff Tears, Labral tears of the hip or shoulder....etc..)

Hope we can do another one soon!

💪 Muscle of the Month: Posterior Tibialis 💪

Location 📍: Introducing the star of the month, the posterior tibialis muscle! Nestled deep in your lower leg, it stretches from behind your shinbone to the inner arch of your foot. Let's give this muscle the recognition it deserves!

Function 🏃‍♂️: Say hello to your foot's best friend! The posterior tibialis muscle plays a crucial role in maintaining the arch of your foot, providing stability and preventing it from collapsing. It's like having a trusty support system built right into your body!

Dysfunction Alert ⚠️: When the posterior tibialis isn't functioning properly, it can lead to a condition called excessive ankle pronation. This means your foot excessively rolls inward, causing imbalances, discomfort, and potential injuries. But fear not, there are steps you can take to keep it in top shape!

Fun Fact 😄: Here's a mind-blowing fact about the posterior tibialis muscle: It has the power to support your body weight while standing on one leg! That's right, this small but mighty muscle keeps you steady and balanced, even during those challenging yoga poses or when you're conquering a hike.

🔍 Share your experiences with ankle pronation or drop a comment if you're amazed by the resilience and strength of your muscles. Let's celebrate the posterior tibialis muscle all month long! 💪💙

🎉 Celebrating Freedom & the American Dream on the Fourth of July ! 🇺🇸✨

We have a very diverse clinic ( 🇺🇸, 🇪🇨, 🇲🇽 🇨🇴, 🇵🇱, 🇨🇿, 🇮🇹) thanks to the opportunities provided to us in this country

When my parents immigrated here from Ecuador in the 1950's, they came to pursue the American Dream & provide a life for their children! 🌟🎆

When Vanessa, our Front Desk coordinator's mother immigrated from Mexico in the 1970's, it was in pursuit of the American Dream

When Leidy, our Front Desk coordinator immigrated from Colombia in 2019, it was in pursuit of the American Dream

When Michal's parents immigrated from Poland in the 1990's, it was in pursuit of the American Dream. 🤝

When Marissa's great grandfather immigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1888!! it was in pursuit of the American Dream

At Freebody Physical Therapy we would like to thank these immigrants' American Dream. Their hard work & aspirations helped create an opportunity for us to be here at an amazing clinic & helping clients get back to doing the things they love.

We're grateful to be a part of your wellness journey. 🙏💪  This Fourth of July, let's cherish the company of our loved ones and make lasting memories. Whether it's a backyard BBQ, a scenic hike, or simply enjoying quality time together, let the joy of freedom fill the air. ✨

🔥💪 Presenting: Muscle of the Week! 💪🔥

🏋️‍♀️ Meet the awesome Serratus Anterior muscle! 🏋️‍♂️

📍Location: This muscle lies beneath your armpit and wraps around your ribcage like a superhero cape! 🦸‍♂️

🚩Importance: The Serratus Anterior is a crucial muscle that plays a vital role in your upper body strength and stability. It acts as a key stabilizer for your shoulder blade, allowing it to glide smoothly along your ribcage during movement. When the Serratus Anterior is functioning properly, it helps you lift heavy objects, perform push-ups with ease, and reach for things without strain.

🔍 In layman's terms: Imagine the Serratus Anterior as a supportive sidekick for your shoulder blade. If this muscle isn't working as it should, you may experience difficulty in activities like carrying heavy items or reaching for objects above your head. It can lead to weakness, limited range of motion, and even discomfort in your shoulder area.
