Madelynn presenting at the SICOT Young Surgeons Meeting last week 👏
Proud of the work she put into this research, focused on outcomes that matter for our workers’ comp patients and getting them back to work.

Our clinical team hosted an educational dinner with physicians assistants and surgical assistants to talk through wound closure strategies and our team’s experience using Sylke post-operatively.

After implementing Sylke across ~1,000 primary cases in 2025, we’ve seen meaningful benefits including improved incision cosmesis, fewer skin reactions, and the advantage of biocompatible materials.

Always refining our approach to support better healing and outcomes for our patients.

Dr. Karas explains which muscles are persevered in the robotic-enabled STAR approach to hip replacement surgery.

By preserving key muscles around the hip, this technique helps support stability, reduce tissue disruption, and promote a smoother recovery.

Less than a year after bilateral hip replacements, our patient is back to exploring the world.

Recently traveling to Africa with no pain, and no limitations.

“No pain. No swelling. Total control.”

This patient underwent a left total knee replacement with Dr. Karas in June 2025 and recently sent this video from Vail to share his progress.

He hopes his story helps reassure other patients considering knee replacement that getting back to the activities you love is possible.

“The truth is I would not be doing any of it without your entire team.”

After a left hip replacement in July and right hip replacement in September, our patient is now exploring Vietnam—biking motorbikes through tunnels, kayaking, navigating caves, riding sampan boats, and hiking up to 10 miles through rice and tea fields and waterfalls.

Helping patients get back to the life they love is always the goal.

Staying active after a joint replacement is often a big concern...will it wear out the implant faster?
Good news: research says no.
A large study of 3,000+ joint replacement patients found that staying active did not increase failure rates.
Movement is not only safe, it’s encouraged.

Did you know? ⁣
One of the most important parts of knee replacement surgery is balancing the ligaments so that your new knee works naturally with your body. ⁣

Dr. Karas used Corin Apollo robotic technology to help create a personalized surgical plan for each patient. This system builds a 3D model of your knee, records how your knee moves during surgery, and provides data that helps guide precise bone cuts and ligament balance. ⁣

Instead of making your body “fit the implant,” this approach helps the implant fit you — supporting stability, comfort, and function.

Modern bracing options can reduce pain by offloading the part of your knee most affected by arthritis. The right brace helps restore mobility, improve stability, and give you confidence in your movement. For many patients, bracing is an effective way to stay active without surgery.

✅ Offload painful areas
✅ Reduce arthritis pressure
✅ Improve stability & confidence
