This morning, the Department of Health and Human Services released a lengthy report on youth gender-affirming care. This report seeks to discredit decades of vital research and practice, intimidate providers of this care, and assert that trans and gender diverse identity in youth is akin to a mental illness to be treated. We reject this outright. We are committed to ensuring that our community members of all ages can continue to access excellent, ethical, evidence-based care that centers their needs.

50 years ago, Howard Brown Health was founded by four volunteers with a vision to improve the health of their communities. So many years later, our volunteers are still a core part of the work we do every day.
