We are excited to announce that CWHC now provides Medication Abortion services. New and existing clients are welcome to schedule appointments, which include access to medication abortion pills as well as education, guidance, and resources.

DOGE is in NIH right now. Public health is on the chopping block.

Word is out that an announcement about a reorganization of the CDC will include elimination of the Division of Prevention and likely other departments with the CDC. A significant reduction in workforce is also expected. Announcement of the cuts is expected to come by Thursday or Friday if not sooner.

Ahead of the announcement, HIV advocates and organizations are urging people to call their U.S. Representative or Senator to preserve the CDC and its HIV prevention division.

We are in the final days of the Freedom Square: Black Girlhood Altar exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Avenue, Chicago, IL.

On March 10, 2024, from 10-5 pm, which is the last day of the exhibition, we like to invite you to participate in a beautiful day at the Chicago Cultural Center, the “Black Girl Takeover” Festival, a day of workshops, activities, and panels specifically for Black girls, women, and gender-expansive youth.

The “Black Girl Takeover” features workshops throughout the entire building to engage in wellness, image-making, and artistic practices that are central to Black Girlhood.
