Our first gift shop opened in the Spring of 1940. Since then, it has grown into a beloved staple of the medical center for visitors, patients, and staff.

Today we are proud to have three gift shops! It's the perfect place to find something special for yourself or someone you love.

In 1959, the Chicago Sun-Times published an article announcing the merger of two women's boards from St. Luke's and Presbyterian Hospital.

The merger was a defining moment that strengthened our shared commitment to supporting our community and laid the foundation for The Woman's Board of Rush University Medical Center as we know it today.

As we step into a new year, we are reminded that progress is built through unity, collaboration, and new beginnings. Our current board members continue to carry this legacy of service and impact together, and we can't wait to see all the amazing work we'll accomplish this year!

Yesterday we hosted our December Board Meeting with our Holiday Boutique featuring gifts from The Woman's Board Gift Shops and from The Junior Board Holiday Tea. 🎁

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day feel merry and bright! 💚

We are still collecting gifts for our Tribute Tree this month and our Care Managenent Committee is collecting winter coats and accessories through January 2nd.
