Growing up, did you feel like you were the parent in your family?

PTSD stands for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, such as violence, abuse, accidents, or natural disasters. Symptoms can include flashbacks, nightmares, feeling on edge, or avoiding reminders of what happened. Many in our Latinx community carry trauma silently, believing we have to be strong for everyone else.

💛🌿Healing is possible. PTSD is not a sign of weakness. It is your mind and body’s natural response to overwhelming pain or fear. If you find yourself feeling disconnected, anxious, or unable to fully enjoy life after trauma, know that you are not alone. Our culture carries deep resilience and faith, and therapy can help you feel grounded, safe, and empowered again.
