Chicago Center for Integration and Healing - CCIH

We believe that the treatment of individual trauma can have a positive impact on individual lives, family systems and wider community relationships.

The Chicago Center for Integration and Healing provides integrated psychotherapy on a wide range of mental health issues with a speciality in the treatment of trauma. The effects of trauma can be complex and pervasive—yet with appropriate treatment and support, those affected by trauma also have a tremendous potential to heal. A large and growing body of research in the neurobiology of attachment and trauma informs our treatment strategies. Effective treatment requires the integration of relational, developmental and body-centered approaches. The Chicago Center for Integration and Healing is committed to providing access to appropriate services to those who suffer the effects of trauma. We strive to provide affordable treatment options to all income levels. We are also committed to providing ongoing education to allow professionals in the wider community to stay current with advances in research in the treatment of trauma.

We have appointments, including sliding scale openings, available for new clients!

CCIH uses somatic/body-centered and relational approaches in our work. We often work with clients who have experienced attachment and developmental trauma.

We see clients in-person at our office in Ravenswood and we are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Plans and Original Medicare.

We respond to all client calls within 24 hours and our intake calls typically take about 10 minutes.

Applications are due by July 1st for our Advanced Clinical Training Program!

We created the ACT program as a way for therapists to connect with peers and transform their theoretical knowledge into clinical skill and practice.

During this two year program, participants work together in monthly consultation groups led by experienced therapists, while studying both foundational texts and more recent thinking on treating trauma. Together, we engage in the work of developing an integrated treatment approach that is tailored to the unique needs and goals of each of our clients.

Join us on March 22nd as we explore a trauma-informed approach to understanding and treating clients with suicidal ideation.

We will discuss how to assess for and treat risk, and use our ongoing treatment to understand suicidal thoughts and action as a meaningful strategy for dealing with painful history and the challenges of daily life.
