CCIH uses somatic/body-centered and relational approaches in our work. We often work with clients who have experienced attachment and developmental trauma.

We see clients in-person at our office in Ravenswood and we are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Plans and Original Medicare.

Applications are due by July 1st for our Advanced Clinical Training Program!

We created the ACT program as a way for therapists to connect with peers and transform their theoretical knowledge into clinical skill and practice.

During this two year program, participants work together in monthly consultation groups led by experienced therapists, while studying both foundational texts and more recent thinking on treating trauma. Together, we engage in the work of developing an integrated treatment approach that is tailored to the unique needs and goals of each of our clients.

Join us on March 22nd as we explore a trauma-informed approach to understanding and treating clients with suicidal ideation.

We will discuss how to assess for and treat risk, and use our ongoing treatment to understand suicidal thoughts and action as a meaningful strategy for dealing with painful history and the challenges of daily life.

Trauma Fellowship applications are open now at the Chicago Center for Integration & Healing!

Our Trauma Fellowship is a year long training opportunity for provisionally or fully licensed therapists who share our commitment to trauma-informed care.

Fellows will see a full caseload of clients at CCIH while receiving weekly supervision and training on practicing an integrated trauma-informed approach, including body-centered techniques.

Fellows will receive a salary of $44,000 per year, plus benefits. Start date is flexible.

It may show up in our offices in the form of clients who are experiencing relationship difficulties, feeling a lack of interest in the world, struggling to keep a job, or feeling like life isn’t worth living.

Join us next month as we explore complex trauma from both from a theoretical perspective and a sense of what it is like to be on the journey with someone for whom trauma has shaped their experience of the world.

We still have space available in our next Integrated Practices group, which begins next Wednesday, January 24th from 6:30-8:00pm.

Interested Clients can call CCIH Intake at 773-754-7441 ext 2500 to register.

Our Integrated Practices groups are for those with a history of trauma. Group members will learn practices that can help them develop an increased capacity to work with painful traumatic experiences, and an increased awareness of internal experience in the present moment. In this group, we will not be sharing the details of trauma stories; we will be focusing on experience in the present.
