For this Black History Month Monday, we honor Rebecca Lee Crumpler, MD. Dr. Crumpler earned her medical degree at New England Female Medical College in 1864, which she used towards the health of freed individuals, women, and children. 🩺

Happy Black History Month! Every Monday this month, we will be celebrating a famous Black/African American woman in history. Starting off, we have Mae Jemison! Dr. Jemison, an engineer, doctor, and astronaut, was the first African American woman to ever go to space. 💫

Did you know today is Maternal Health Awareness Day? The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recognizes and addresses the health disparities for Black and African American pregnant women, with hopes to encourage education and policy to reduce preventable conditions. 🧡
