We are proud to support International Medical Graduates (IMGs) in obtaining a limited license through the Illinois Pathway Program.
This four-year program offers a structured pathway to practicing medicine in the United States:
• Years 1–2: Supervised clinical practice
• Years 3–4: Independent (unsupervised) practice at hospitals, clinics, or healthcare facilities throughout Illinois, including rural communities in high need
Eligibility requirements include:
• Successful completion of USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3
• Familiarity with the U.S. clinical rotation system
• Completion of a residency or equivalent postgraduate training in your home country
This is a paid position, providing valuable U.S. clinical experience while addressing the critical physician shortage across Illinois.
Upon successful completion of the program:
• Your limited license transitions to a full, permanent medical license
• You become eligible to sit for U.S. board certification
