IT FEELS LIKE HOME BECAUSE WE WORK HARD TO MAKE IT LIKE HOME

It is the guests of our families who come to visit and comfort the families we're serving. The environment has an effect on visitors. It can be too formal, stiff or sterile. Or maybe even uncomfortable, as it relates to furnishings, light or color. You don't have to ask people if they're uncomfortable. Their body language and expressions will tell you long before they utter a word. Conversely, when people attend a visitation to comfort a friend or family member, and there's a softer vibe, a lighter feeling, a spirit of community, the lilt friendly conversation and sharing, well that's just as easy to see and feel. That's our goal for every visitation at Gibbons Family Funeral Home.

We understand the importance of the Environment. We ensure that the families of the loved ones we are serving, have the feeling the space they are hosting their guests in could be how their own home would feel. Beautiful statue collections and curios are in the greeting space and chapel. A large, comfortable and well appointed lounge offers a space to get away for a bit. Clean and convenient restrooms with full and easy access; those are the details that concern us the most. We are a regional and neighborhood funeral home. We're well known for serving the CFD and CPD families, as well as Veterans. We have strong ties to many ethnic communities that started long ago with the Irish immigrant families, and now extends to an entire melting pot of ethnicities who have established deep roots in Chicago. All are welcome here and we'll spend every minute of every day looking for ways to make our building and our facilities the most accommodating place to be when families are hurting and need us the most. We're there for you, in comfort and peace.

At Need or Pre-plan, we’ll answer all of your questions and ensure you know every single choice you have to honor your loved one.
