Unbroken Symposium - Spring 2026
I always promote to have many tools in your toolbox, and our symposiums are a way we keep those tools sharp 🛠️
We want to thank Jaime from Fonseca Martial Arts for giving us a live demo of the Martial Arts world, as well as arming my team with some self-defense techniques 🙅🏻‍♂️🙅‍♀️
They have 5 locations from Roscoe Village, Park Ridge and 3 more locations in the northshore area. They have classes ranging from 4-80+, as well as a specialized class for patients with Parkinson Disease. Give them a trial for all your martial arts needs 👌🏼

Spring Social 2026 🎳
Taking it back to the site of Unbroken’s first work social 🥲
We have all new faces this time around, but now we have employees who are here to help Unbroken work towards its vision, instead of employees joining me (Fred) in working towards my dream. dpt was the star of the night getting a turkey in her last game. We were missing a few people cuz of 🤧 but tis the season

We’re great PTs but terrible bowlers. We’ll take that in 100 out of 100 lifetimes 🙃

Here are our warm-up recommendations for the Crossfit Open 26.1 workout 🙌🏼
If your box has a prescribed warm-up for the workout, great! But if not or you’d like to do more, do this 👇

Mobility Drills (2-3 sets)
👉Bootstrappers, 10 bilat
👉Medball T-spine Extensions, 8-10 reps
👉Forward/Reverse Frog Jumps, 4 there and backs

💡The name of the game will be opening up your hips at deeper squat positions. If you keep your hips open with the wall ball, you will be able to keep your chest up and be more energy efficient with the movement
💡 The reverse frog jumps do an excellent job of warming up your adductor muscles which will be heavily recruited during this workout (second to the quads of course)

🔗Unbroken Athlete Spotlight🔗 Tiffni: Back to Crossfit workouts with no restrictions 🏋️‍♀️
Tiffni is a member of and we first noticed her avoiding and/or highly modifying workouts because of shoulder pain last fall
Initially we let her know that there was a world where she didn’t have to modify her workouts around this shoulder pain. MONTHS later she finally had enough and decided to reach out to us for help 🙏🏼
I think Tiff was shocked at how straightforward her rehab was, and how fast she progressed. We think she mildly regrets not reaching out sooner 😉
We promote early intervention because the longer it goes on, there’s a possibility that the climb back to the top may be more challenging 🧗. Regardless, late is better than never and we’re so proud of all the progress you made, Tiff 👏

Heartbreakers 💔- there’s a reason we keep on coming back incessantly 🔥
One of our favorite powerlifting meets of the year was last week and we were fortunate enough to be able to provide athlete support to the athletes 🙏🏼
The vibes and energy once again didn’t disappoint. Great job to all the competitors on your accomplishments. See you again next year!

2026 State Champions - Coed division 🏆
Our sponsored team are State Champions for the first time in their school history! 👏
One of the things I’m really passionate about is taking a person/people at their lowest point and bringing them back to their highest point (hence, my passion in sports physical therapy)
It’s been an absolute privilege being a part of Hersey Coed’s journey in reaching their peak potential. This year that potential ended up being the best in the state 🥇
It’s been an eventful 5 weeks. I’ve only known these athletes for a short time but I feel like I’ve known them for a year 🙏🏼
After they performed on Day 2, an athlete by me was overwhelmed with emotions and said something along the lines of being an athlete her whole life, never winning anything before, and how bad she wanted to win with this team 🥺
Hearing that assured me I was in the right place, helping the right people 💯
This 25-26 team will always hold a special place in my heart 🫶. No team more deserving of this happy ending to their fairy tale season. Thanks for letting me and Unbroken along for the ride 🫡
