On December 9, in partnership with the League of Black Women and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), we hosted “She Must Live: A Disruptive Change Response Summit” at UI Health’s Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design. 💜 Joined by public health and community leaders from Chicago Department of Public Health, UI Health, Johns Hopkins University, and many others, this inaugural session included insights, presentations, and breakout sessions where attendees explored ways to advance equitable cancer outcomes. Black women face the highest cancer mortality rates of any group, even when incidence is equal or lower, underscoring the need for urgent, coordinated action.
