In my clinic women who've had results come in with low AMA/ovarian reserve or, are in that delightful medical bracket of "advanced maternal age" hear me say this every day - it's quality, not quantity - that counts!

“After six cycles of attempting to conceive, results did not differ significantly between women with low levels and normal levels of anti-Müllerian hormone — a 65 percent chance of conception, compared to a 62 percent chance,” Steiner’s team wrote in a report published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

In talking with a patient yesterday who's been worrying about some test results yet to come back, I said "Go into Thanksgiving just being thankful. This moment, this hour, this day. It's what we have now, and all there really is." Sometimes I give advise to others that I hope and practice to embody myself. So this day, this hour, this moment, just take a pause and be thankful. You're here. And even if there are struggles, you're here. That's the biggest blessing of all. Make your mantra happy, healthy and blessed. Oh, and don't forget your Bao He Wan and ginger tonics if your belly gets too full tomorrow :) Happy Thanksgiving my lovely people!

A mother who had her first child via IVF, who believed she couldn't conceive naturally, has been coming to the clinic for the last 6 months for preparatory treatments for a second IVF cycle. I've encouraged her to "live normally" and try the good ole' fashioned way with ease as we worked on all we needed to. Well guess what news I just got??

Not only pregnant, but NATURALLY pregnant with TWINS! Sometimes you just gotta get that body back in balance so it does what it knows how to do.

The joy I feel in these moments isn't describable. Should I really get paid for this?!?!?! Twins guys! NATURAL TWINS!
