The Dystonia Warrior Ride is a charity motorcycle ride on Saturday, Sept. 20 to raise money for dystonia research and to bring dystonia awareness/education to Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

Congratulations to Jacob Peterson for completing the 2025 Boston Marathon running 26.2 miles on April 21 to promote dystonia awareness and raise funds for research. The back of his jersey proudly displayed that he is "dystonia strong!" Jacob's fundraiser for the DMRF is still open for those who would like to contribute to the cause with their congratulations. April is Stress Awareness Month—a good time to learn ways to counteract the harmful effects of chronic stress on your health. Individuals diagnosed with dystonia can experience non-motor symptoms such as disruptions in sleep, anxiety, depression, or pain-related symptoms that affect more than how the body moves. These are referred to as the “Non-Motor Symptoms of Dystonia.” The Dystonia Medical Research Foundation has added a new brochure on Non-Motor Symptoms of Dystonia to our library of resources.
