We're hiring medical assistants. This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Candidate qualifications:
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Clinical Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NAHP, AAH or NHA required (includes principles and techniques of injections and medication administration) required upon hire.
• Graduates of a Rush Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program are required to obtain Clinical Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NAHP, AAH or NHA required within six months of hire.
• Current CPR certification required upon start date.

Requirements include:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher (except RN1s hired and already working at Rush University Medical Center before October 2012).
• All transfers from other Rush entities must have an earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher prior to transfer into Rush University Medical Center or Rush University Medical Group.

Qualifications include:

• Registered respiratory therapist (RRT) and an Illinois respiratory care practitioner license.
• All RTs must pass departmental competencies
• Requires BLS and ACLS. PALS within 90 days of hire. NRP Preferred
• Minimum education requirement is an Associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Technical skills are required to adapt equipment and procedures to patient needs.
• Analytical skills are required to evaluate patients and their clinical response to therapy.
• Customer service skills are required to effectively meet the needs of patients, families, and members of the healthcare team on an almost constant basis.
