This patient had an anterior crossbite that placed excess pressure on the gums, contributing to gum recession. With orthodontic treatment, the bite was corrected and the pressure on the gums was relieved, allowing the recession to improve. The teeth were also aligned to address dental crowding and create a healthier, easier-to-clean smile.
