Let’s sit together for a moment. From experience, I’ll tell you what I observe.
To everyone else it looks like you’re rocking it. You are doing well...better than well.
On the inside, though, you don’t feel right. The dreadful feeling of incompletion haunts you. You’ve done your homework, and you know it’s something like... anxiety.
You smile to the world. (But...what if people knew what's going on inside me?!) Of course it feels awful when you judge yourself as a fraud...or worse.
You are concerned about the signs and symptoms inside your body and mind. (What is this?!)
The fact is: High-Functioning Anxiety is a thing. Yes, it is real. But, no, it is not a diagnosis. It’s not a condition; it’s an experience; There is a big difference between the two.
Most important: It’s feedback. Feedback you have pushed either a reflex or a personal boundary. When you know what the reflexes are and understand your own sensitivities, you will stop feeling the feedback.
High-Functioning Anxiety can and will stop when you know what it is about yourself that causes it. And, no, you don’t have to go through years of psychotherapy to get results. There is another way.
You are ambitious. Looking forward, to one year from now, you’d like to see significant positive changes in the way you feel, stresswise. Right? Still achieving what is important to you, but also feeling lighter. GOOD. You have made that decision. Good. You deserve better.
