🦃 Flags of the Heart Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway

Flags of the Heart NFP, led by CEO and Founder Sharon Preston, is spreading love and gratitude this season by hosting a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway!

Join them on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 3:30 PM at Messiah Temple M.B. Church, 10400 S. Halsted St., Chicago, IL, where 300 turkeys will be distributed to families in need — first come, first serve!

This community event, supported by Commissioner Bill Lowry (3rd District), Commissioner Michael Scott Jr. (2nd District), and Dr. Keith McGee of Messiah Temple, is a true reminder of what the holiday season is all about — giving, gratitude, and togetherness.

Let’s come together to make sure every family has something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. 💛

The month began in 1981 as 'Day of Unity' to connect advocates working to end domestic violence and evolved into a full month in 1987 and was formally designated by Congress in 1989. This is a time to raise awareness about domestic violence, support survivors and advocate for change!
