💙From Crisis to Stabilization: Mental Health Crisis Response & Care

Navigating the crisis continuum is challenging for both service providers and individuals needing crisis care. There are many options, entry points, eligibility requirements, etc. NAMI Chicago's team will review the crisis continuum offerings in Chicagoland and then discuss real-life examples of navigation with member from our Helpline, 988 and Mental Health Court teams. Practical guidance for supporting individuals and families navigating the continuum will be offered.

✨Peer Support: Saving Lives through Connection

Drawing from her lived experience and leadership as the founder of Black People Die By Su***de Too, this session explores how culturally grounded peer support and intentional program design can strengthen su***de prevention efforts in Black communities. Participants will gain practical strategies for supervising peer specialists, building emotionally safe spaces, and designing programs that honor lived experience while addressing the unique challenges of Black mental health. Through storytelling, reflection, and resource sharing, attendees will leave equipped to lead with empathy, accountability, and purpose.
