was a huge success! 🙌

It was an honor to share our experiences and findings at Rush and to learn from hip preservationists around the world. Our team gave several presentations on long-term outcomes in unique patient populations, best practices for treating a range of hip injuries, and more. We're thankful for the opportunity to contribute and inspired by the innovation and dedication shaping the future of the field! 🌏 🦴

Hip labral reconstruction is a surgical procedure designed to restore the labrum. The labrum is a ring of cartilage that lines the hip socket providing stability to the hip joint. Hip labral reconstruction may be indicated for cases where the labrum is too damaged for a hip labral repair. This may be due to conditions like femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), previous injury, or degeneration. Labral reconstruction uses either your own tissue or donor graft tissue to replace the damaged labrum that is not amendable for repair. This procedure can help restore normal joint mechanics, alleviate pain, and improve function.

Feeling incredibly grateful to have been part of the International Hip Surgery in Young Patients: From Preservation to Arthroplasty of the Hip course in Santiago, Chile 🇨🇱.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tomás Amenábar and Dr. Julio Piriz at Clínica Alemana for the warm hospitality and for organizing such an outstanding event. To old friends Dr. Luis Moya, Dr. Pedro Pablo Amenabar, Dr. Jaime Lopez, and Dr. Claudio Mella, but also new friends Dr. Javier Besomi, Dr. Juan Monckeberg, Dr. Claudio Rafols, Dr. Daniel Fishman, and Dr. Cristobal Meirovich!
It was a privilege to join Dr. Michael Ellman, Dr. Moritz Tannast and Dr. Lorenz Buchler and contribute to advancing the conversation around hip preservation and arthroscopy in young patients.
Looking forward to continued collaboration and innovation in the field!
