Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day Blue Bird Day is an academically structured therapeutic program for children 2 - 7 years old. Feel free to connect with us via email or visit our website.

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child. We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy. A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved. Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well. Want to learn more, sign up for a tour, or have a specific question?

Our Blue Bird of the Week is Takaia! Takaia is such a sweet, funny friend! She has a big love for learning—especially her ABCs and numbers—and she lights up when she’s out in the sunshine, ready to explore the world around her. Takaia is a creative spirit who enjoys painting and doesn’t mind getting a little messy in the process, seeing it as part of the fun! She also loves taking pictures of herself, striking all kinds different poses. Always curious and full of energy, Takaia is excited to take on new challenges and discover new things alongside her friends.

Our Story

Blue Bird Day is an opportunity for socialization, sensory regulation, and academic learning for children ages 2-9. Our preschool program embraces a multisensory curriculum incorporating principles of Sensory Integration, DIR/Floortime, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Zoophonics, Handwriting Without Tears and Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding. This unique curriculum encourages peer interaction, socialization, development of academic skills, sensory integration and speech development. Goals and treatment plans are individualized to meet each student’s unique needs, including daily speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy and feeding therapy sessions. Snack and lunch are catered daily by HandCut Foods to include gluten-free, nut-free, and diary-free options.
