Our Story
Herb + Ōhm is a luxury integrative medicine practice rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, adapted to the needs of modern Chicagoans. Our practice nurtures the mind, body, and spirit through Acupuncture + Chinese Herbal Medicine, while recognizing the value and offerings of Western medicine.
We offer several services at our practice including Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Bodywork, and Microneedling. Additionally, we may also incorporate any of the following additional TCM methods as part of your acupuncture treatment, depending on your symptoms: Cupping, Moxibustion, Tui Na medicinal massage, and Gua Sha. Regardless of which healing method we use, the cornerstone of our approach is based on the idea of healing from the inside out: We treat the root to treat the branch.
Herb + Ōhm was built on the idea of providing a fully immersive relaxation experience. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll notice that everything has been carefully selected to enhance your comfort. Our nature-inspired décor brings the best of the elements to you, including oak, marble, cedar, and water—all in stunning neutral tones. One of the most striking visual effects we built into our space is our unique display of traditional Chinese herbs in spot-lit glass jars, which double as both art and education tools and show our patients how an authentic herbal pharmacy might operate in the East.
We realize many of our patients may be new to acupuncture. At our practice, we bridge the gap between the familiar and the foreign. We appreciate the distinct advantages of Eastern and Western healing philosophies, while maintaining an optimum balance between the two. This synthesis creates maximum benefits + results for our patients.
