We are incredibly proud to announce that our AdvancingPractice Program Director, Kiersten Solis, was honored as a 2025 Nurse of the Year Award Finalist at the Illinois Nurses Foundation Holiday Gala & Fundraiser! 💙

Kiersten has dedicated her career to addressing health disparities and strengthening care in underserved communities. As a community mentor, she has precepted countless APRNs and played a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of so many fellows.

She embodies compassion, advocacy, integrity, and excellence in everything she does — and it was truly special to see so many Erie team members come together to celebrate her achievements.

🎃 Happy Halloween from the AdvancingPractice Fellowship Program! 👻🩺

Our fellows swapped their scrubs for spooky, creative, and hilarious costumes this year — and the results were fang-tastic!

🕸️ From classic movie characters to minions, mini mouses, and more, the team brought the spirit to life.

✨ Today our APRN Fellows took part in Nexplanon Training at our Erie location! We were joined by a Nexplanon representative and our very own Dr. Mandy Gittler, who provided both in-depth education and hands-on training.
This session marks the final LARC training in our fellowship program — and after completing today’s session, each fellow will receive their Certificate of Completion. 🎓👏
A huge thank-you to Dr. Gittler and our partners for helping our fellows continue to build the skills needed to provide comprehensive reproductive care! 💜

📚 Today, our APRN fellows participated in an in-person Paragard training at one of our Erie locations!

A Paragard representative joined us, bringing all the latest training materials — including real examples of previously used devices — to give our fellows a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience.

This is just one of the many valuable trainings our fellows receive to continue building their skills and providing the best possible care to our Erie patients. 💙
