For many years, mental health was something people suffered through quietly.
Growing up, I watched individuals carry emotional pain in silence because they feared judgment, misunderstanding, or shame. Those experiences stayed with me and inspired the work I do today.
My journey from Albania to America taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of creating safe spaces where healing conversations can happen openly.
I’m grateful to share more of this journey in this feature story with ALB Connection — a reflection on mental health, community, self-compassion, and hope.
