She made it through her first week! Our new intern Madelynn Miller is from the southwest suburbs of Chicago and is completing her internship as a student from Belmont University. While growing up playing piano and singing, her primary instrument is classical percussion. In a music therapy setting, Madelynn has worked with older adults, adolescents with mental health diagnosis, and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Madelynn’s approach to music therapy focuses on whole-person care, ensuring that all aspects of life are considered for each individual. She is excited and honored to be a part of individuals’ lives in a musical way.

Our Director Becky and her husband are board members of Northwest Compass, Inc., a wonderful non-profit social service organization that helps people in our community with food and housing insecurity, and has a special program for homeless youth. Come join us for a special event in support of this great community resource! (Becky had nothing to do with the music theme… 🤪)

Today is a big day! Please help us welcome our new music therapy intern, Madelynn Miller!

Before taking the board exam and applying for licensure, a student is required to complete a clinical music therapy internship. Madelynn will be with us for the next 6 months!
