Kennedy Forum Illinois

Kennedy Forum Illinois The Kennedy Forum Illinois is a broad-based, united campaign to advance mental health and addiction policy, improve access to services, and combat stigma.

Just as President Kennedy rallied the nation to dream big and set audacious goals 50 years ago, The Kennedy Forum in Illinois is working toward lasting change in the way mental health and addictions are considered and treated. OUR VISION: A future where all persons are treated with dignity and receive the person-centered mental and physical care and support they need to thrive and achieve their go

als; with a health system that fully recognizes that the brain is part of the body. OUR MISSION: End stigma against mental health and substance use disorders. We are focused on changing both attitudes and practice. OUR WORK

• Elevate and improve the quality of the public
discourse and mass media coverage of mental
health and addiction;

• Ensure equal access and coverage of mental
health and substance use disorder care;

• Advance integration and coordination of
behavioral health care and prevention into the
general primary care medical system;

• Leverage innovation and technology to advance
and improve mental health/addiction interventions
and integration;

• Give children the best chance to succeed in life by
addressing brain health at an early age.

Please take some time to complete the AIDS Foundation Chicago’s (AFC) 2023 Policy Priorities Community Survey:

The survey is available in English and Spanish.

We will keep this survey open through September 30, 2022.

The goal of this survey is to better understand what barriers our priority communities (Black and Latin/o/e/x gay and bisexual men; Transgender women of color; Black cisgender women) face in achieving their best all-around health, as well as what barriers providers face in assisting the people they serve.

This survey is completely voluntary, and all responses will be anonymous and reported in aggregate - this means that individual survey results are combined together and presented as a group. Only one completed survey per person please.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the AFC Policy & Advocacy team at advocacy@aidschicago.org

Thank you in advance for the help in completing and spreading the word about this survey. Please share when you are done!

I just took Foundation of Chicago's 2023 Policy Priorities Community Survey! Take five minutes to share what IL policy and systems changes are needed for your community to thrive.
