Elements of grief weave their way through our lives and our bodies as we navigate experiences of loss— anticipated, sudden, cultural, ancestral, societal, or existential.

In this training, participants will explore the embodiment of grief and its impact on the nervous system, and learn methods of recognizing and nurturing embodied resourcing as a way of enduring grief with courage and curiosity.

This workshop will also address traumatic themes that emerge in loss, including grief-related anger, loss of safety, and loss of land for Indigenous communities, and the need to decolonize grief by honoring collective and communal healing.

Becky Carter, LCPC (she/her) is a somatic trauma therapist with over 25 years of experience. She integrates Somatic Experiencing, IFS, and a decolonizing approach to trauma, with a focus on relational and collective healing.
