The Comer Children’s Hospital NICU team hosts families for monthly NICU Family Nights for infants currently in the NICU. Different guest speakers discuss and support the NICU families’ journey during their stay which include topics such as “Discharge - the Journey Home” by the 3rd year NICU Residents, “Getting to know your care team” by the NNP team, “Breastfeeding” by NICU staff nurses, “Infant CPR” by NICU staff nurses, and “Car Seat Safety” by NICU staff nurses. This month, fifteen parents (and one older sibling!) attended NICU family night on Wednesday, January 14th, to learn about Comer Children’s Hospital newborn hearing program (presented by Marnie Pomeroy). Parents enjoyed dinner while they learned about our unique NICU newborn hearing program, and asked good questions at the conclusion of the presentation.
