The West Suburban “Gut Club” gathering was a tremendous success that brought together some of the brightest minds in gastroenterology for an evening of collaboration, innovation, and community.
Hosted and sponsored by GI Partners of Illinois, this incredible initiative is the brainchild of our very own Dr. Rockford Yapp, whose vision continues to foster meaningful dialogue and advancement within our field.
We were honored to have outstanding presentations from:
• Dr. Kamran Ayub (GI Partners of Illinois)
• Dr. Chris Chapman (Rush University)
• Dr. Amrita Sethi (Northwestern Medicine)
Expertly moderated by Dr. Willis Parsons of Endeavor Health, the evening featured rich discussions on advanced endoscopic techniques and evolving approaches in patient care.
One of the true highlights of the event was seeing the next generation of medicine shine. We are incredibly proud of Lindsey DeJesus, Dr. Rockford Yapp’s medical assistant, who was recently accepted into Loyola University School of Medicine. Lindsey delivered an impressive case presentation on the application of advanced endoscopic techniques in managing a complex case of non-resectable perihilar cholangiocarcinoma, an inspiring moment for all in attendance.
A special thank you to Cindy Santana, Practice Administrator at Digestive Health Services (a division of GI Partners of Illinois), for her exceptional work in organizing and executing a seamless event at Fogo de Chão in Oak Brook. Your leadership and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
At GI Partners of Illinois, we remain committed to advancing care, fostering education, and building a strong, physician-led community.
