After my mother passed way I experienced a depression like I’ve never had in my life. I was unable to do much of anything. One day I decided to get up out of bed and make my bed. It was a small effort- a small start-but a start nonetheless.

So I encourage you if you are struggling at any level- start with making your bed. Small, intentional motions make a big difference when you’re trying to put one foot in front of the other.

And remember you are loved. 💛

Early pregnancy tips!

This is especially important for those who have undergone IUI/IVF/FET/fresh embryo transfer, or those with recurrent pregnancy loss:

1. Keep your body warm- wear socks, layer up to keep your core warm, avoid iced drinks and overconsumption of cold raw foods

2. Take time to rest- take naps, go to bed early

3. Limit scrolling- spending time searching the internet can heighten anxiety and disregulate the nervous system. See this suggestion as self care

4. Get outside! Take walks. Walking helps improve blood flow, calms stress and anxiety, promotes proper lymphatic drainage, and improves cardiac and brain function

5. Get acupuncture! Acupuncture treatment is recommended weekly during the first trimester to stabilize the uterus, supports nutritious blood flow to your developing baby, fosters incubating energy, treats early pregnancy symptoms, and helps calm the mind.

Keep it simple. Every small positive adjustment to diet, lifestyle and mindset matters. Keep taking good care of you. 💛
