First Ascent Climbing & Fitness, a project created and supported by Chicago's climbers, started with one simple mission: to build world-class indoor climbing facilities that serve and grow Chicago's vibrant, passionate climbing community. The Uptown gym features over 8,000 square feet of world-class Walltopia-designed bouldering terrain. Problems and features are friendly for beginners and challen

ging for experts, and we offer classes and training programs for all ages and ability levels. Additional features include a full-body fitness room with cardio machines, free weights, and functional training equipment, and climbing-specific training equipment, a yoga studio, locker rooms, pro shop, and community spaces.

First Ascent West Loop will open for members-only access starting THIS Friday 2/20 🤩 Members only hours from 2/20-2/27 will be:

M-F 4:00-9:00 pm
Sa/Su 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

We'll be open officially to the public on 2/28 at 10:00a, more details coming soon about our Grand Opening Celebration! 🎉
