UIC HAPPY Lab A focus of our research is on the biological factors that underlie a woman's greater vulnerability to the harmful effects of drug and alcohol use.

Dedicated to understanding the effects of drugs and alcohol on the brain & behavior, individual risk for substance use disorders, public education, and ending the stigma of addiction.
