Today, we joined together for a beautiful balloon release in celebration of National Balloons to Heaven Day. Staff and residents participated in this special moment to honor and remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

It was a meaningful experience filled with reflection, love, and a sense of peace. Watching the balloons rise was a touching reminder that those we miss are never far from our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who took part in making this day so memorable.

July Employee of the Month

Raven Ferrell is one of our exceptional CNA’s on our south hall. Raven was nominated by our residents for her diligence in fluctuating between the floor and assisting in the kitchen as needed, her passionate care and compassion towards each resident. We extend our gratitude to Raven for her outstanding contributions and dedication to providing exceptional care to our residents. Her commitment to being consistently available is truly appreciated.

July Resident of the Month

Jim picked his lunch today from Arby’s and said it was wonderful to say the least!

Jim appreciates spending quality time with his brother-in-law, engaging in leisurely activities such as strolling through the park, shopping, or simply sitting on the front porch, reminiscing about fond memories. Prior to joining our community, Jim served as a pastor, dedicating his life to spreading the teachings of our Father. His culinary preferences include meatloaf accompanied by fried potatoes, fried cabbage, and sausage. Jim values attending church services and also graciously hosts his own services for fellow residents. He wishes to extend his gratitude to his peers for voting for him and to our staff for their unwavering consideration.

We feel fortunate to have such an exceptional individual as part of our community!

Thank you Refuge Care for coming out and serving Mock Margaritas and Tattooing our residents! And thank you to Frontier Hospice for bringing cookies!

Our residents loved the mock margaritas, and they absolutely loved getting tattoos! They said they never thought they would get a tattoo and here they are getting one!

We would like to extend our gratitude to Administrator Tara West and her husband Danny for graciously providing grilled burgers for our residents; whome we did not get pictures of. Dietary Manager Kassidy Johnson seamlessly took over grilling duties to accommodate our staff members, as the burgers proved to be extremely popular and quickly ran out among residents.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed flying kites with Activities Director Cheryl Anderson.

This week we have been raising money for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Our declared winner for our Pie the Boss, was Tara West, Administrator. She took the lead by a landslide at the last minute, with a total of 91 votes. Our wonderful staff members donated a grand total of $281 in one week, that will all be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
