Its the last day of Disability Pride Month! We know that the work continues to abolish ableism, fight for justice, and ensure the rights and worth of disabled people are recognized.

But we are still surprised at how few people and organizations recognize Disability Pride Month in a meaningful way. So we want to hear from allies and non-disability organizations: how are you committing to undoing ableism and supporting Disabled folks in your life and work?

Disabled people get to make choices. Sometimes that choice is between going outside for an hour or washing the dishes. Sometimes that choice is between eating food from a plastic bag or not eating at all. Sometimes that choice is between going to work or literally doing anything else to care for ourselves.

Disabled people deserve autonomy. We have a right to make the best choices we can from the options available, regardless of what everyone else thinks. This should not be a radical thought.
